Pre-Admission to the Veterinary Medical Technology Program Admission Process

High school seniors or first-semester college freshmen who wish to earn pre-admission into the Veterinary Medical Technology program may learn how to do so here. You can use the cards below to guide you through the pre-admission application process. Pre-admission applications are accepted from October 1 through November 1 of each year.
Step 2: After You Have Been Admitted into MSU, Ensure You Meet the Following Criteria
Pre-admission is open to high school seniors or first-semester college freshmen who meet the following criteria:
- 3.0 GPA or higher (high school seniors)
- 2.8 GPA or higher (first semester college freshmen)
- 21 or higher ACT super score (or SAT equivalent)
Step 3: Complete the VMT Pre-Admission Application
Step 4: Secure Three Recommendations
You must secure three recommendation forms/letters of recommendation. You may not ask family members or personal friends to recommend you. Your recommenders may access the recommendation form via the link below.
We recommend that one of your recommenders be able to speak to your academic background and one to your animal handling experience. The third may be a person of your choice.
Please inform your recommenders that their input is entirely confidential.
